Welcome to the website of the Orangeville Charge of the United Church of Christ! Our charge consists of three churches, each with its own history and identity, serving a common mission in the name of Jesus Christ. Perhaps you know Orangeville United Church for its bake stand at the carnival, or St. James for its ice cream festivals, or Zion for its chicken barbecues. We do like to feed people! But even more than feeding people's bodies, we are committed to feeding people's spirits.
We invite you to join us for worship at any of our churches on Sunday morning. Our worship is traditional, but informal, hope-filled and encouraging. We sing, hear God's word, and lift up our prayers for one another, for the community, and for the world.
HEALINGWe believe that God's intent is for wholeness for all God's children, and that God can use our prayers as pathways for God's healing power. Our Pastor generates two weekly messages shared via e-mail and social media Facebook pages. Sunday morning and special services are being recorded and shared in the same way as the messages. We publish a monthly newsletter with events and news from the congregation. Our doors are open to all who are searching for Bible based messages and a warm welcoming congregation.
CONTACT:Anyone wishing to contact us, please refer to the box below with contacts for Pastor Mark Rowell and secretary Patti Roberts – or just stop by the church at 223 Main Street Orangeville on Sundays at 8:45am. NOTE that in the event we have a special service with our joined congregations at another church in the charge, it will be listed on the sign near the parking lot.
